Many students may need an online platform due to being a traveling artist or athlete, being hospitalized, be outside of the state of in-person labs, out of the country, or for any other reason. If a student is aligned with the support and principles of VPAC, this lab allows you to be a student with mid-level support. Your child will be able to engage in online project participation that will provide the Project Management Tool, weekly check-in, online VPAC Curriculum, College Readiness Resource support, Workforce Development Resource support, and our online Anti-Racist/Accomplice Course. Quarterly projects will be delivered.
Credit and Diploma Lab
This is for a variety of families. You may have decided that your child is going to work, travel, train, or perhaps they are recovering from a situation, this lab allows you to fully unschool with very minimum support. VPAC will invite you to a quarterly Zoom check-in to ensure you are managing your unschooling experience with ease! An annual project will be delivered at the end of the year.
DEFINITIONS
Independent Learning Plan (ILP):
Every student will receive an ILP that will be driven by their interest and goals. ILP's include the PMT and an entire graduation portfolio that includes the demonstration of full comprehension and application. Workfoce development and college rediness will be displayed throughout the ILP and PMT for graduation requirements.
Project-Management Tool (PMT):
Any quality project requires phases and steps to produce the final product. VPAC has designed a PMT that will invite students to utilize to keep track and progress of the development of their project.
